Approval in principle (AIP)

Recruiting from overseas? Suffering skill shortages? Getting an Approval in Principle (AIP) might be the way to go.

An AIP is a way for employers (who are not accredited) to get upfront approval from Immigration NZ to recruit staff from overseas by satisfying the labour market test before recruiting. It will result in faster processing of work visa applications.

An AIP means you can hire migrant workers as you need without repeating Immigration NZ’s labour market test. Sometimes migrant workers can get a visa for up to five years. Again there are conditions.
